How to Make a Tooth

My kids came home with a huge stash of candy after last night's Trick-or-Treat session.  After I checked all of it, they started munching away.  It looked like they intended to eat the entire supply in one sitting.

"Wait a minute," I said.  "Only four little pieces.  We don't need you rotting your teeth out tonight!"

"But Mama," my nine-year-old son said. "Teeth are easy to make."

I  looked at that boy sideways.  "They are?"

"Yeah.  All you have to do is get some milk and let it go stale. When it dries out, you'll see some powdered stuff left.  Take the powdered stuff and shape it into a tooth, because that's what teeth are made out of."

Okay.

(I see the boy has a promising future in dentistry!)

  5. Your Bubba is a joy. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could bottle some of his imagination and enthusiasm? Just think how many people would want to buy a dose, so they could see the world through his eyes for a little while.

  8. I think that milk would get mighty sour, but kudos to Bubba for always having a solution to a problem.

  13. Milk contains calcium (I think).
Teeth have calcium in them (I think).
I think Bubba may be on to something there.
Of course, I never did too well in Science.
    Or Math.
But, that fact isn't terribly relevant here.

    1. Ha! You're absolutely right about the calcium. Maybe Bubba will find a way to perfect his theory so the milk powder doesn't have a sour taste. ;)
